About Kirsten

Kirsten Wilson is a writer and speaker passionate about the power of story and art to tear through the curtains that keep people from seeing the eternal.

For the past two years, Kirsten was part of the faculty at Rivendell College in Boulder, CO, where she taught Public Speaking, New Testament Greek, The Imaginative World of C. S. Lewis, Creative Writing, and Introduction to Creative Arts and Culture.  Kirsten also contributed to the spiritual formation courses.

As a speaker, Kirsten brings her biblical training, church experience, and creative spirit to every setting--retreats, special events, conferences, and church services.

Kirsten was formerly on staff at LifePoint Church in Minden, Nevada.  While there, it was Kirsten’s job to serve as a bridge between the teaching team and the arts team--working with the teachers to infuse creativity and to craft a memorable big idea, and working with the artists to craft elements that weave thematically into that big idea.  Kirsten wrote most of the large dramatic productions and many of the shorter scripts performed on the CVC stage.  She also performed as part of the CVC drama team for almost ten years.

Kirsten met her husband, Steve, in the fine arts dorm at the University of California, Irvine, when Steve valiantly attempted to save the life of Kirsten’s dying pet betta fish.  The fish, sadly, did not survive, but the friendship did.  Kirsten and Steve have been married for eighteen years now, and they have two betta-fish-loving children--Daniel, who is twelve, and Katie, who is eight.
