When was the last time you wore a watch? It’s been years for me. Seemed redundant once I started carrying a cell phone.

A couple days ago, however, I saw a cute watch at Target. It was funky. Artsy. I bought it.  More as an accessory than a timepiece, I must admit, though I figured I could use it to tell time in a pinch.

I wore my new watch today--and I laughed at myself quite a bit. I kept looking for a wall clock or reaching for my cell phone to see what time it was--when all I needed to do was tilt my wrist.

It’s going to take a while to retrain myself that now and then I’ll be able to find out what time it is by looking at my--gasp!--watch. Wild, don’t you think?
